Baby's first moccasins! Learn to make the cutest slippers ever.
It takes very specific leather to make babies slippers. It needs to be very soft, with a dull texture, that will not be slippery to walk in. We found just the leather! It's extremely soft and flexible and because of this, it doesn’t restrict the natural flexibility and movement of a baby’s feet.
Students will get:
Leather and shearling to make the shoes
Waxed thread and leather needle
All of the beautiful leather for this workshop comes from offcuts collected from Hossack and Gray, artisan upholsterers and furniture designers, based in East London.
**This design is based on the toe of some of the moccasins that were designed and worn by indigenous people of North America.**
Classes run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so: enter some dates you would prefer to attend, I will check and confirm those dates or arrange specific dates with you.
