Make a collection of leather accessories over 2-days.
Make a backpack/saddlebag, clutch bag, Sneakers, bag charms.
Students explore this dedicated leather studio, use specialist tools; meet the makers and make their own unique accessories.
This is a unique opportunity to learn about what goes on behind the scenes in the leather accessories and fashion industry. Meet the people who make London Fashion Week samples that get walked down catwalks; manufacture for well known brands, and also begin to understand the processes that take place to make the leather bags and accessories that we buy from the shops.
Students will:
1) Choose what to make.
2) Work with metal dyes.
3) Learn to operate a cutting press.
4) Learn to hand sew.
5) Attach hardware
This workshop takes place in Leyton, London.
